Youth Engagement for Sustainable Urban Transition

On the occasion of World Habitat Day, SERAC-Bangladesh is hosting a stakeholder engagement meeting in Narayanganj titled “Youth Engagement for Sustainable Urban Transition.” The dialogue will bring together members of Urban Youth Councils, youth-led organizations, city officials, and media representatives to explore how young people can play a central role in shaping inclusive, resilient, and sustainable urban futures. The meeting aims to create a collaborative platform where youth voices intersect with local government decision-making, highlight innovative practices from youth organizations, and foster stronger partnerships between civil society, municipal authorities, and the press. By focusing on youth leadership in sustainable urban transition, the event will contribute to advancing participatory governance, replicating best practices, and ensuring that cities are better prepared to meet the challenges of climate change, rapid urbanization, and equitable service delivery.
