Colombia, with its immense natural wealth and complex urban reality, finds itself at a vital crossroads. The pressing climate crisis demands a forceful response from all fronts, and architecture and urbanism stand as fundamental pillars of this transformation. The 2025 Colombian Congress of Architecture and Urbanism, organized by the Colombian Society of Architects (SCA), the country’s flagship event in the sector, will take place at the Ágora Bogotá on October 23 and at the CEFE Chapinero on October 24, within the framework of UN-Habitat’s Urban October, serving as strategic venues.
The main purpose is to catalyze deep reflection and generate innovative proposals in the face of the urgent challenges that the climate crisis imposes on our cities and architectural practice, promoting the widespread adoption of urban and architectural regeneration strategies that strengthen mitigation, adaptation, resilience, and the creation of more sustainable, equitable, and livable urban environments for Colombia’s future.
More than a knowledge exchange, this is a call to collective action. We invite the national and international community of architects, urban planners, designers, builders, academics, and students to foster deep reflection, share knowledge, and forge innovative proposals that will drive urban and architectural regeneration.
