World Habitat Day Celebration

This activity will be marked by community cleaning, a march through the Kamwokya Informal Settlement and national gathering. The Minister of Lands, Housing and Urban Development will be the chief guest. Habitat for Humanity Uganda in collaboration with government and partners are marking this day as part of the #HomeEquals global advocacy campaign for affordable housing in informal Settlements. In Uganda the campaign is fostering collaborative participation, access to essential basic services and tenure security. Working with the National and Sewerage Corporation, we are extending pipe water within informal Settlements reducing the cost of 20lt jerrican by 65%.
