This Ministry organizes World Habitat Day every year on the 1st Monday of October to commemorate the day and this year the first Monday of October falls on 5th October, 2020. So, in line with the celebration organized during the earlier years, World Habitat Day 2020 will be organized on 5th October 2020 by the Ministry through video conferencing to highlight the related issues. This year’s World Habitat’s Day theme will be “Housing For All: A Better Urban Future”. Mr. Hardeep Singh Puri, Hon'ble Minister of State (Independent Charge), Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs will chair the event.
