World Cities Day Connect 2026 is an international platform convened by the Sustainable Development Council (SDC) to bring together policymakers, local governments, urban practitioners, civil society, youth, academia, businesses and development partners to advance inclusive, resilient and sustainable cities. Held in connection with World Cities Day 2026, the initiative will promote dialogue and practical solutions for adequate housing, climate resilience, urban regeneration, smart governance and people-centred development. Under the overarching focus of “Regenerating the City: Adequate Housing for All,” the programme will connect global commitments with local action, encourage partnerships and showcase innovative approaches that contribute to SDG 11 and the New Urban Agenda.
