This activity will take the form of a workshop focused on strengthening local resilience capacities through civic practices. The session is both an invitation to reflection and action, aiming to explore how active citizenship can be a powerful force in building cities that are more resilient, just, and prepared to face future challenges. More than merely resisting crises such as extreme climate events or social challenges, the concept of urban resilience we seek to discuss is linked to the collective capacity to adapt and transform society through participation. The workshop’s focus is to connect participants’ experiences, needs, and aspirations for their city with practical proposals for change, demonstrating that every citizen is an agent capable of driving institutional transformation in the place they live. It will be a hands-on and interactive online workshop, offering a space for dialogue and co-creation using collaborative digital tools, such as the Miro platform, to encourage group debate and collective design.
