The aim of the event is to give visibility to peripheral and socially vulnerable areas in the city of Porto Alegre/RS, through practical and creative workshops that stimulate discussion of issues relevant to the development of sustainable cities. Two photographic walks are proposed with specific themes: housing and environmental quality, in which participants will demonstrate how they see these issues portrayed in the everyday scenes they encounter along the way. The workshops will take place in the Mario Quintana neighbourhood in Porto Alegre, one of the most socially vulnerable areas, with high rates of irregular occupation, illiteracy and violence. The proposal seeks to raise awareness of the urban challenges of marginalised spaces by encouraging photography and urban scenes that make up the daily lives of local residents. At the end, a debate is proposed on the participants' perceptions and ways of social inclusion in these spaces.
