Sustainable cities are also about how we consume, reuse and value the resources that sustain them. The fashion industry has a significant environmental footprint, from resource-intensive production and waste generation to greenhouse gas emissions throughout global supply chains. Extending the life of what we already own is one simple way to contribute to more circular and resilient urban lifestyles. On 9 October at 18:00, 2BCities will host a hands-on clothing and jewellery repair activity at the SDG Solution Space in Geneva. The event will create a welcoming space for participants to bring damaged or worn clothing and jewellery and learn practical ways to repair, restore and reuse them rather than replace them. Through this activity, 2BCities aims to encourage more conscious consumption while promoting practical skills, creativity and community exchange. Participants will have the opportunity to connect with others, share knowledge and discover how small everyday actions can contribute to more sustainable and circular cities. Date: 9 October 2026 Time: 18:00 Location: SDG Solution Space, Geneva
