Vegetable Garden Workshop

The vegetable garden planting workshop with 4th-grade elementary school students is a hands-on experience in environmental education and sustainability. Over the course of 1 hour and 30 minutes, children learn about soil, seeds, seedlings, and plant care, developing awareness of where food comes from and the importance of cultivating nature. The activity combines practical and playful learning, with group planting, species identification, and dynamics around healthy eating. More than teaching techniques, the workshop fosters responsibility, cooperation, and connection with the environment, transforming contact with the soil into an educational gesture that integrates knowledge, practice, and care for the planet. The activity combines practical and playful learning, with group planting.
