UrbanSus UN: gender inequalities and intersectionality during and after the pandemic

After 6 months of pandemic, we know that citizens have not been affected in the same way. Informal workers, women and the black population were the most vulnerable and affected by the disease. Given this situation, the university, as a knowledge production center, must mobilize itself in order to propose public policy solutions aimed at the effective promotion of gender equality, especially in the post-COVID-19 scenario. We propose the execution of a Webinar aimed at reflecting on the female condition in the pandemic, in light of SDG 5, to be developed through 3 panels: women and work; violence against women; young black women. The panelists will be the deputy director of IEA-USP, Roseli de Deus Lopes and postdoctoral researchers Tatiana Tucunduva, Débora Sotto, Carlos Hernandez and Marcelo Nery. Will present: Luciana Itikawa, post-doctor and doctor from USP; Wania Pasinato, PhD from USP and consultant to UN-Women; Gislene dos Santos, professor at EACH-USP.
