On October 26, the Projeto Ciliar will host an in-person tree planting activity on Av. Padre Tarcisio Gonçalves in Sete Lagoas. Approximately 150 native Cerrado species will be planted, carefully selected for urban suitability, considering factors such as size, resilience, non-aggressive root systems, and attractiveness to local fauna. Aligned with the thematic axis “Climate Action and Urban Environment” of Urban Circuit 2025, the initiative aims to: - Strengthen urban climate resilience and enhance thermal comfort; - Expand urban vegetation coverage with native species; - Promote socio-environmental education among the population; - Encourage citizen participation and foster care for public spaces.
