The first Urban Friday of the Urban Circuit 2025 will focus on the debate around housing as both a fundamental right and a pathway to urban justice, highlighting housing not only as a basic need but also as a central element for reducing inequalities and promoting social inclusion. The event is aligned with the thematic lines “Adequate housing at the center of urban planning” and “Reducing urban inequalities”, recognizing the importance of innovative and collaborative public policies to ensure fairer and more sustainable cities. To this end, the program will feature presentations from UN-Habitat partners, offering reflections on how their initiatives and institutions contribute to expanding access to dignified housing and strengthening more equitable territories.
