Urban Friday: Evidence-based planning to localise the SDGs

The “Urban Fridays”, held by UN-Habitat, are events that present to the audience UN-Habitat's projects, partnerships, and initiatives in Brazil related to this year's central theme and thematic lines. This event focus on "Planning" and will address the processes of aligning it to global agendas and of gathering evidence to guide them. Localising the SDGs requires integrating them into the local government's planning and management processes, carrying out diagnoses, establishing priorities, aligning local strategies with the global agenda and adapting them to each context. The event aims to discuss how the projects developed by UN-Habitat align the SDGs with planning instruments, documents and strategic plans, diagnoses and evidence, in addition to budgetary and governance mechanisms to implement the SDGs.For full list of speakers check: www.circuitourbano.org
