The event “Urban Dialogues: Experiences and Challenges in the Housing Context” focuses on the discussion of implementing the right to adequate housing as a central element of urban planning. Drawing on practical experiences and institutional analyses, the event will address the structural challenges of social housing, including financing instruments, demand qualification, and coordination between public policies and the real estate market. The program includes a presentation of an innovative case from the Jundiaí Observatory, which, in partnership with IBGE, developed an interactive dashboard for detailed territorial analyses based on the 2022 Census. This will be followed by a roundtable bringing together specialists from different fields to discuss the State’s role in promoting inclusive urbanization models, considering housing deficits, service modalities, and credit and financing mechanisms. By combining experience sharing, informed debate, and audience interaction, the event aims to stimulate reflections on pathways toward more inclusive, integrated, and sustainable urbanization, contributing to the strengthening of institutional capacities and the reduction of socio-spatial inequalities.
