UN-Habitat and the University of Bahrain are organizing the closing ceremony of their joint Summer Training Programme on Applied Training in Socioeconomic Assessment and Field Research in Tubli Bay, under the initiative Enhancing Urban Coastal Ecosystems for Community Wellbeing, Climate Action and Biodiversity in Bahrain, implemented in collaboration with HSBC MENAT. The programme provides students with practical experience in socioeconomic research, field data collection, stakeholder engagement, survey implementation and reporting. Through household and visitor surveys, field observations and engagement with relevant stakeholders, students have explored community perspectives, recreation demand, potential economic opportunities and the social value associated with Tubli Bay. The closing ceremony will mark the successful completion of the programme and provide a platform to showcase the students' work, share key findings with national stakeholders and strengthen dialogue around the future of Tubli Bay.
