The event “TCE-RJ Observatory: Spotlight on a Sustainable Future” celebrates innovative solutions born at the grassroots level to address Rio de Janeiro’s urban challenges, in a multicultural and immersive format.
The program combines a Green Fair, featuring local producers and artisans of organic and sustainable products, with a Sustainable Art Exhibition, showcasing works by artists such as André Rongo (Rongo), EZO, and Taina Araújo, who invite the public to see artistic potential both in what comes from the earth and in what we leave behind on it.
The highlight is a debate panel moderated by:
- Thiago Pampolha, current Vice President of the TCE-RJ and former State Secretary for the Environment, bringing together three leaders with significant socio-environmental impact to share best practices and lessons learned;
- Regina Tchelly, from Favela Orgânica, will discuss circular economy and combating food waste;
- Ricardo Gomes, from Instituto Mar Urbano, will reveal the biodiversity of Guanabara Bay and its importance for climate resilience;
Graziela Albuquerque, from the NGO Revolusolar, will address a just energy transition through solar power in favelas.
With a practical and inspiring approach, the event seeks to connect the public with initiatives already making a difference, proving that transformation begins with local action. Join us and discover the pathways to Rio’s future being built today.
