Sustainable tourism for the development of cities in the Global South

"""Sustainable Tourism for the Development of Cities in the Global South"" is an event organized by CiGlo - Global Cities - and co-organized by the Institute of Contemporary Culture (ICC), the University of Cordoba's Office of University Extension, and IDP Tourism, as part of the 2023 Urban Circuit proposed by UN-Habitat. Our goal is to strengthen cooperation among various sectors and levels, and to encourage the participation of all individuals, especially women and youth, in the sustainable tourism development of cities in the Southern region. This event will be held in a hybrid format and will feature the participation of tourism experts from different fields who will share their sector-specific policies and experiences. The planned actions, based on governance, implemented by these stakeholders in pursuit of sustainable, inclusive, and resilient urban development, are essential for the growth of the tourism sector and cities in the Global South."
