Sustainability Agenda of the Ministry of Cities

The panel “Investments in Sustainability in Brazil” will bring together representatives from government, academia, and the financial sector to discuss pathways for allocating resources to sustainable urban projects. The discussion will cover topics ranging from the analysis of sustainability in the Ministry of Cities’ investments to how financing for sustainability has been approached internationally, as well as the opportunities offered by government funds and the National Development System. The panel will also present lessons learned from mappings of climate initiatives in Brazil, highlighting practices that strengthen inequality reduction and climate change adaptation, with a focus on building more inclusive, resilient, and innovative cities.
