Social technology and agroecology in the Amazon

This workshop aims to localise the SDGs, by ensuring sustainability in açaí and Brazil nut cooperatives' production processes, as well as by highlighting the autonomy of the traditional peoples of the Amazon, who are responsible for guarding and maintaining the environmental balance in the forest, açaí groves, chestnut groves, communities, and small towns, mostly in Environmental Protection Areas. Social technology is used in many cooperatives, runing low-cost systems developed by themselves. The face-to-face workshop aims to debate simple and low-cost solutions for production processes. Together we can find innovative and low-cost solutions and promote participatory processes. For full list of speakers check: www.circuitourbano.org
