Smart Pathways

The event “Smart Pathways” focuses on raising awareness—both internally and among the general public—about walkability conditions, through the use of apps that help identify the characteristics of urban spaces. Urban planning technicians and municipal staff were selected to participate in the event, gaining knowledge and experience to later present a diagnosis and the results obtained, which will guide the development of walkability strategies. The area to be analyzed includes a high-traffic zone for public transport users and three community facilities: a state high school, a municipal school, and a senior community center. These areas are interconnected by high-speed traffic roads, where conflicts occur almost daily.
