Seminar: Less waste – more life in our cities

The Circular Caribbean - Prevention of plastic waste in Central America and the Caribbean Sea, jointly with the Waste Management Greece, is organizing a webinar to inform about municipal waste management topics. The webinar will be held online on Date, 26th and 27th October 2021. The German Cooperation - GIZ - in coordination with the Central American Commission for Environment and Development (CCAD) of the Central American Integration System (SICA), and with funding from the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and the European Union (EU), implements the project Caribe Circular - Prevention of Plastic Waste in the Seas of Central America and the Caribbean (10/2020 - 12/2023). The project is being carried out in Mexico, Guatemala, Belize, Honduras, and the Dominican Republic; it aims to prevent and reduce the entry of plastic waste into the sea and promotes regional exchange and cooperation with the private sector. The webinar is addressed to projects of GIZ, municipalities, and representatives of municipalities, as well as to public and private entities involved in waste management topics that will be given the opportunity to learn and pro-actively exchange on enhancing their waste management practices and recycling rates.
