The Sanitation is Life event focuses on broadening the discussion and understanding of sanitation in vulnerable communities located on the outskirts of Brazil´s large urban centers and linking the debate with possible reflections about the theme in Africa. The approach will be based on the search for decentralized solutions that will be more ecological and innovative to bring definitive answers to the severe sanitation problem, including issues related to community involvement in infrastructure actions, the generation of jobs and income, and professional qualification. The event will be organized by Caruá Negócios Sustentáveis in collaboration with GERAR Arquitetura and the Veiga de Almeida University. The event will be presented in two rounds of conversation and will have local representatives, scholars on social issues, specialists in sanitation, and sector companies.
