The event will discuss Resilience Strategies for Building a Possible Urban Future for the City of Petrópolis, Brazil: - Presenting actions for monitoring and preventing natural disasters. - Presenting ongoing research endeavors dedicated to averting and mitigating the causes or consequences of disasters in risk-prone areas. - Sharing stories of resilience, including how the community copes with the impact (considering gender and race aspects), lessons learnt from past crisis situations, and direct participation in prevention efforts at personal, family, and social levels. This event will be conducted in a virtual panel discussion format.
