In order to develop cities that are accessible for everyone, we need policies and practices to develop safe and vibrant neighbourhoods. Given this, co-production and inclusive processes are key. Habitat Norway, UN-Habitat and VibeLab are collaborating to promote knowledge sharing between cities, civil society and other actors from around the world. The aim is to facilitate a peer review process in line with the UN Safer Cities guidelines. The process will identify and engage cities that already have established city safer policies and programmes to consolidate knowledge of what has worked, advance mutual learning, as well as draw on innovations to promote the integrated solutions envisioned in the 2030 Agenda and the NUA. This Urban October event marks the kick-off for the webinar series that will run from November 2023 until April 2024. The outcome is planned to be presented at the next session of the World Urban Forum in Cairo, Egypt in November 2024. THE NEXT PEER REVIEW WEBINAR: 28 Nov 2023
