Planning and Designing with people, focusing on informal neighbourhood upgrading processes in Nairobi

Activity Description

To ensure the Urban October, 2020’s, theme: Better City, Better Life and the sub-theme Valuing our communities and cities, it is widely agreed that citizen engagement and community participation are imperative. To reflect and discuss which shapes such can take and what is required to ensure successful engagement and participation in neighbourhood upgrading processes, KDI will be holding a webinar under the theme: Planning and Designing with people, focusing on informal neighbourhood upgrading processes in Nairobi. The webinar addresses how non-governmental organizations and built environment organizations working in different informal settlements of Nairobi are looking at a holistic way of having an integrated participatory planning.
