The event “Pedreira Linear Park and Nature-Based Solutions,” organized by the Coletivo Território Vivo, will bring together representatives from institutions that engage with the Pedreira community, located in the Pedregulho neighborhood of Itu, SP. The meeting aims to present the Linear Park as an alternative for the community to mitigate risk areas, in line with the guidelines of the National Secretariat for Peripheries. The format will be a discussion circle, where panelists and the audience will interact to learn about the Linear Park proposal. The park incorporates various Nature-Based Solutions (NBS) and proposes the creation of a green belt to protect the Piraí stream and improve local climatic conditions in Pedreira. This initiative addresses the climate crisis while promoting social justice, reducing inequalities, and fostering environmental sustainability.
