This is the second in a series of meetings that make up the “Osasco Housing Week – Urban Circuit 2025 – UN.” This activity, lasting approximately three hours, will feature a lecture on “Addressing Climate Change in Vulnerable Urban Areas” and a discussion on the experience of reactivating the NUDEC (Community Civil Defense Nucleus) in Osasco, with the participation of field experts and representatives from Osasco’s Civil Defense. The program also includes a discussion circle with the participation of the technical team from the Municipal Housing Department, UNIFESP students, and representatives of civil society. The goal of the meeting is to create a space for dialogue and knowledge exchange among academia, public authorities, and the community—strengthening community organization, urban resilience, and the integration of technical and practical knowledge for effective disaster management in the city of Osasco.
