Opening of the Local2030 Coalition Secretariat and celebration of the World Cities Day

As part of the World Cities Day celebrations, the United Nations and its partnership with the Government of Spain, the Basque Government, the City of Bilbao and BBK will hold the opening of the Local2030 Coalition Secretariat on October 31 from 18.00-20.15 Central European Time (CET). The Secretariat in Bilbao will be crucial to energize the work of the Local2030 Coalition and advance the localization of the SDGs within the UN, and across all territories and communities. In the framework of "Act Local to Go Global" a discussion will be celebrated on how to accelerate the implementation of the SDGs in cities and contribute to realizing the transformative promise of the 2030 Agenda to leave no one and no place behind. The event will also be a landmark of the World’s To-Do List global campaign that calls for greater support to cities to achieve the SDGs.
