In the context of climate change, broad and participatory governance—from the creation to the monitoring of policies, programs, and laws—reduces disaster risk. In urban planning, the integration of Nature-based Solutions has proven essential for building more resilient cities.
For this reason, the objective of the Panel is to discuss possible pathways to address current climate challenges through institutional frameworks that are sensitive to nature. The event is structured around six lectures, followed by online debates.
Directly linked to the main theme of Urban Circuit 2025 and the thematic line “Climate Action and the Urban Environment”, the proposal aims to highlight public policies that use nature as a solution to reduce the impacts of extreme events, strengthen urban resilience, and promote Environmental Justice.
