As part of Urban October 2026, members of the ISOCARP Scientific Committee will share their reflections on inclusive and equitable urban development, drawing on experiences from different parts of the world. What does “adequate housing for all” mean in different geographical and socio-economic contexts? How can urban regeneration improve neighbourhoods without displacing existing communities? And whose needs and voices are still missing from housing and regeneration policies? Two Committee members will open the conversation with short reflections, followed by a moderated discussion. Rather than offering ready-made answers, the session will provide an opportunity to compare perspectives, share experiences and explore questions that deserve further attention in planning research and practice.
