The "Community, Art and Nature" route explores El Mirador II and Flor de Amancaes, two neighborhoods in Nueva Rinconada, Lima Sur, alongside the Pamplona Hills ecosystem. It highlights how local communities respond to climate challenges through collective action, collaborative urbanism, and the protection of fragile ecosystems. Throughout the journey, participants will discover how residents have transformed their surroundings through public space improvements, community-led initiatives, and art. They will learn about Flor de Amancaes, a community committed to protecting the hills and building a more resilient neighborhood, as well as the collective efforts that sustain these initiatives. The route includes public spaces shaped by community action, murals by local artist Majez, and a guided walk through the coastal hills. Together, these experiences reveal the connections between community, cultural identity, and nature, while highlighting the role of the hills in supporting biodiversity and regulating Lima’s local climate. By bringing visitors into direct conversation with local residents and community leaders, the route invites participants to learn from grassroots experiences and recognize the role of local knowledge and collective action in creating more inclusive, resilient, and sustainable cities. This route is part of FIIU Fest 11 (International Festival of Urban Interventions) activities.
