The Ministry of Housing and Works, Government of Pakistan in collaboration with UN-Habita Pakistan is set to unveil the newly approved National Housing Policy 2025, the most significant update in twenty-five years. Forged through nationwide consensus and collaboration with every stakeholder, this visionary policy paves the way to address pressing issues like affordable housing, effective land management, creative financing, cutting-edge construction methods, support for low-income and rural families, revitalization of informal settlements, balanced urban development, institutional transformation, and the creation of homes resilient to climate challenges. The launch of the National Housing Policy 2025 coincides with Pakistan’s celebration of World HABITAT Day 2026, in partnership with UN HABITAT Pakistan, highlighting a revitalized commitment to Adequate Housing for All. This bold step reflects the Government’s dedication to global development goals and turns the vision of adequate housing into tangible action, meaningful investment, and measurable progress.
