The community workshop “Periphery in the Center: Housing and Collective Learning in Jardim Pantanal” takes place in Jardim Pantanal, São Paulo, as part of the course A Periferia no Centro at Escola da Cidade, in partnership with Instituto Alana, within the Urban Circuit 2025. Residents of the territory gather to discuss what it means to live with dignity, reflect on daily challenges, and collectively envision strategies to transform local realities. Using participatory methodologies, the workshop includes conversation circles, interactive activities, and collective documentation that link community experiences to the right to the city and urban planning, strengthening popular agency in developing proposals for adequate housing.
