This webinar is aimed at municipal managers and technical staff from different secretariats and agencies, with the goal of presenting best practices, promoting the exchange of experiences, and strengthening cooperation among Brazilian cities in addressing the climate emergency. The initiative acknowledges the intersectoral and integrated nature of the urban adaptation and disaster risk management (DRM) agenda. The event is organized by the Permanent Commission on Urban Adaptation and Disaster Prevention (CASD) of the National Front of Mayors (FNP), in partnership with WRI Brasil. In 2025, CASD launched the “Guide for Mayors – How to Prepare Your Municipality for the Climate Emergency” and the “Platform of Best Practices in Urban Adaptation and DRM”, both designed to support municipalities in planning and implementing more effective actions. During the event, local managers from CASD member cities will share concrete experiences, present key initiatives, and will be available to engage in a dialogue with the audience, answering questions and deepening the discussion.
