On October 26, the Ciliar Project will host an in-person planting activity of native Cerrado seedlings on Av. Padre Tarcisio Gonçalves in Sete Lagoas. On this occasion, approximately 150 native Cerrado species will be planted, selected for their suitability to the urban context, considering traits such as size, resilience, non-invasive roots, and attractiveness to local fauna. The initiative aligns with the thematic axis “Climate Action and Urban Environment” of Urban Circuit 2025 and aims to: - Strengthen climate resilience and thermal comfort in urban spaces; - Expand urban vegetation coverage with native species; - Promote socio-environmental education among the population; - Encourage citizen participation and care for public spaces.
