On October 12, 2025, the Raízes do Amanhã Project will host the Rua de Lazer event in Raposos, MG, as part of the official Urban Circuit – UN-Habitat program. The initiative will feature activities in environmental education, sports, and community engagement, aimed especially at children and adolescents in situations of social vulnerability. During the event, there will be workshops for making toys from recyclable materials, cooperative games, sports activities in partnership with the company Movimente-se, and planting of vegetables and flowers, encouraging contact with the soil, production of healthy food, and collective care for urban spaces. The event will also receive support from A’massa Pizzaria and the 65th Scout Group of Raposos, strengthening the collaboration of different local actors in support of the community. Rua de Lazer aims to foster collective awareness of sustainability, citizenship, and the right to the city, creating healthy and accessible social spaces. More than just a leisure activity, the event seeks to reaffirm the commitment that the city should be designed for everyone, combining education, culture, sports, and the environment as tools for social transformation.
