The publication of the 2nd Climate Emergency and City Seminar aims to share the results and reflections produced during the event held in May 2025, promoted by IABsp, through the Climate and City Working Group (GT Clima e Cidade), in partnership with Escola da Cidade. The seminar is also part of the UN-Habitat Urban Circuit in Brazil. The launch program will feature a roundtable discussion with researchers and professionals from the Climate and City Working Group, who will present the main conclusions discussed across the seminar’s four thematic panels: - From the Carbocentric City to the Ecological City: Visions to reimagine society; - Turning Plans into Action: Public Policies for Resilient Cities; - Bodies in Crisis: the City and Health on a Warming Planet; - Who Pays the Bill? Financing Adaptive and Just Cities. Targeted at architects, urban planners, and other interested audiences, the publication seeks to establish a reference framework at the intersection of climate and urban agendas, aiming to inspire professional practice, public policy formulation, and academic training.
