The event proposes an open dialogue on ways to strengthen climate adaptation in Brazilian cities, bringing together researchers, public managers, and civil society representatives to discuss the main challenges and opportunities of this urgent matter.
Drawing on results from the Ciadapta Project, the discussions will address the institutional factors that hinder progress in urban adaptation, the adaptive capacity of Brazilian municipalities based on new data from the Urban Adaptation Index (UAI), and innovative strategies centered on Nature-Based Solutions (NbS).
The meeting aims to promote integration between scientific knowledge, local experiences, and public policies, fostering the development of more resilient, inclusive, and just cities in the face of climate change. At the end, the audience will be invited to join a collective discussion, contributing to the creation of effective and collaborative solutions for Brazil’s urban challenges.
