The webinar “Reconnect Maceió: Mobility and Centrality as a DUI Strategy” will present one of the key programs within the process of revising Maceió’s Participatory Master Plan, highlighting the creation of a network of urban centralities connected by a sustainable and inclusive mobility system.
The Reconnect Program promotes a balanced distribution of social facilities and economic activities, consolidates multifunctional neighborhoods with mixed uses, and structures interlinked centralities through mobility corridors that prioritize pedestrians, public transport, and non-motorized modes. The initiative seeks to foster a compact, sustainable, and integrated city, harmoniously articulating the social, environmental, and economic dimensions of the territory.
The webinar will be held online and broadcast live on the Urban Circuit YouTube channel, lasting up to three hours and featuring presentations and a moderated Q&A session led by the Institute for Urban and Environmental Research, Planning, and Licensing (Iplam).
As part of Urban Circuit 2025, the event promotes actions aimed at territorial rebalancing and sustainable urban mobility, aligning with the theme “Data, Innovation, and Smart Cities” and contributing to more inclusive, connected, and environmentally responsible cities.
