This online event aims to present the research project on Smart Cities approved by MackPesquisa, connecting academic experiences and urban practices to the UN-Habitat global agenda. The discussions will explore how data and technologies can be leveraged to enhance urban decision-making, foster inclusion, and promote local sustainability. The event will feature a panel of experts, dialogues with public managers, and the presentation of a proposal for a Smart Cities observatory, integrating research, teaching, and community outreach (university extension). The event aligns with the thematic line “Data, Innovation, and Smart Cities” and with the central theme of Urban Circuit 2025 — “Confronting Urban Challenges: Pathways to Just and Sustainable Cities”, by proposing a territorially relevant, participatory, and evidence-based approach.
