The activity is organized by Professor Ceres Ramos and students of Urban Law from the Law Program at UNIFESSPA, in partnership with institutions such as ELMAR, PPMAC, PPGPAM, SDU, and the Participatory Master Plan — all based in Marabá, Pará. The goal is to create a space to foster the discussion of collective urban issues from the perspective of teenagers from Escola São Félix — a community that reflects many aspects shaping Marabá’s urban life, such as living along the Tocantins River, bridge connections, green areas, cultural movements, and housing developments from the “Minha Casa, Minha Vida” program. The discussions will be organized around the following thematic axes: 1. Cities and Climate Change 2. Cities, Culture, and Memory 3. Cities and Adequate Housing 4. Cities and Water 5. Cities and Mobility 6. Cities, Equity, and Inclusion The teenagers will be divided into groups to discuss each of these themes, with mediation by professionals from the University and partner institutions, and support from Law students at UNIFESSPA. From these discussions, each group will create a cartography representing their theme and perceptions. At the end, all groups will share their collaboratively built maps, creating a broader vision of the city as a reality experienced by the teenagers — recognizing themselves as part of the territory and identifying both challenges and opportunities for inclusion in building a fairer and more sustainable city.
