The event “Between Time and Line: Interventions in Cultural Heritage” invites reflection on how architecture and urbanism—through sensitivity and care—can operate at the threshold between historical preservation and contemporary use. Held on October 17 in Tiradentes (MG) during the Tiradentes Creative Week, the meeting highlights interventions that use cultural heritage as a driver of urban transformation, social equity, and the appreciation of local identities.
Structured as a roundtable discussion, the event brings together representatives from CAU/MG (Council of Architecture and Urbanism of Minas Gerais) and guest speakers to present and discuss real-world experiences supported by the Council. Case studies will illustrate how thoughtful interventions in cultural assets can enable new contemporary uses, revitalize spaces, and foster belonging, income, and opportunities—especially in vulnerable territories.
The program features presentations by Ana Paula Costa (Vice President of CAU/MG), Cláudio Bahia, and Luciana Féres, followed by an open debate with the audience. The event underscores that the right to memory, urban space, and preservation tools is essential for building fairer, more inclusive, and more sustainable cities.
