Focus and Approach: This event is part of the Urban October & Urban Circuit 2025 calendar, under the theme “Pathways to Fairer and More Sustainable Cities,” and is directly linked to the thematic line “Climate Action and the Urban Environment.” The training on urban pruning aims to correct inadequate practices that compromise both tree health and urban safety. By promoting proper tree management, the event contributes to: - Strengthening cities’ climate resilience; - Reducing risks such as falling branches and conflicts with power lines; - Enhancing the value of green urban spaces and promoting environmental justice. Target Audience: Technical teams from the Department of Public Services, the Urban Landscaping Division of the Department of Environment, and representatives from Neoenergia/Coelba (the local power utility), all of whom work directly with urban tree management in the municipality.
