The event Urban Connections: Fairer and More Inclusive Cities, organized by CAU/MG in partnership with academic institutions, social movements, and international organizations, is part of the Urban Circuit 2025 program. Held in a hybrid format with live streaming, the meeting creates a space for dialogue on the challenges and possibilities of building more equitable, resilient, and inclusive cities. The program includes an institutional opening and a discussion panel moderated by the CAU/MG Urban Policy Committee, bringing together representatives from the Public Defender’s Office, the University of Brasília, the National Movement for the Struggle for Housing, and UN-Habitat Brazil. Presentations will address topics such as socio-spatial justice, reducing inequalities in times of climate change, community adaptation plans, and the fight for the right to housing. The event will conclude with an open debate with the audience, encouraging the exchange of experiences and collective development of proposals. The event seeks to strengthen connections among professionals, public managers, academia, and civil society, fostering critical and practical reflections on how to advance urban policies that can tackle historical inequalities and promote the right to the city.
