How can young people, armed with technology, remap the future of their own community? This event presents the result of a journey of citizen innovation: the launch of an interactive digital map, created entirely by young people from Salvador, which highlights the social, cultural, and economic assets of their territory, often invisible on conventional maps. The focus of the meeting is to give a stage to the protagonists of this transformation. The young mappers themselves will present the online platform, share the insights and stories discovered during the process of researching and building the map, and report on their personal experiences of learning and empowerment. Held in a hybrid format, with an in-person session at the Celsinho Cotrim Foundation (Salvador-BA) and live broadcast on the official Circuito Urbano channel, the event will continue with a roundtable discussion. In it, young people will talk with community leaders and project coordinators about the potential of digital social cartography as a tool for local development. Our approach is centered on youth leadership and the “learning by doing” methodology. By training participants with digital tools, the project transforms them from mere residents into active agents in the production of knowledge about their own territory, strengthening local identity, stimulating the creative economy, and proving that youth are key players in building smarter and more inclusive cities.
