eThekwini Municipality, South Africa

Nevana is an SDG Champion for the eThekwini Municipality, with extensive experience in municipal operations including finance, audit, systems development, project management and performance monitoring and evaluation. She works on multi-sectoral projects with municipal and external stakeholders, where she aims to enhance cooperation and partnerships, promote the use of technology and data to improve service delivery, and monitor project deliverables. Nevana also oversees performance monitoring and evaluation for several functional areas within the Municipality.  She is passionate about the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG’s) and is currently leading several transversal projects aimed at accelerating SDG implementation and the effective use of data for decision-making and SDG reporting.
