Minister of Housing and Urban-Rural Development of P. R. China

Mr. NI Hong was born in October 1962 in Liaoning Province, China. He graduated from Harbin Institute of Construction Engineering. He holds a postgraduate degree, and is now a senior engineer.

In June 2015, Mr. NI Hong was appointed as the Vice Minister of the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development (MOHURD).

In June 2022, he was appointed as the Minister of the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development (MOHURD).

Prior to this appointment, Mr. NI served in different agencies and departments of MOHURD as well as local governments holding various positions including the Vice President of China Urban and Rural Construction Development Company, Vice Mayor of Hefei city of Anhui Province, Director-General and Secretary of Party Committee of Housing and Urban-Rural Development Department of Anhui Province, Director-General of Department of Housing Reform and Development (Head of Research Office) of MOHURD.
