Citizen Innovation is the process that experiences the solution of social problems with open technologies and methodologies (digital, social, ancestral), through the involvement of the affected community itself. This means that citizens cease to be passive recipients of institutional actions, to become protagonists and producers of their own solutions.
The Oaxaca Citizen Innovation Laboratory is a meeting space in which, through interdisciplinary work and the participation of civil society, academia, private initiative, the cultural sector and a team of expert mentors, are developed projects aimed at solving local problems through a glocal thinking.
