The event is part of the 4th Urban October Fortaleza and addresses local strategies to tackle the climate emergency in cities. Drawing on practical experiences from Fortaleza, it will present initiatives such as the Climate Action Observatory, the Parks and Green Areas Strategy, and the Municipal Risk Reduction Plan. The event will gather representatives from IPPLAN, SEUMA, Civil Defense, the Ministry of Cities, the Ministry of the Environment (MMA), and C40 Cities, fostering multilevel dialogue. Aligned with the theme “Climate Action and the Urban Environment”, it reinforces the role of cities in the climate agenda on the road to COP30.
