International Conference on Sustainable Communities for All

The Ministry of Social Development and Human Security of Thailand, in collaboration with UN-Habitat, hosted International Conference on Sustainable Communities for All during 27 - 30 October 2024 to share best practices in housing and urban development. This event aligns with the UN's 2030 Agenda, specifically SDG 11.1, which aims to ensure access to safe and affordable housing. The conference will gather senior officials from 15 Asia-Pacific countries—along with representatives from public, private, academic, and civil sectors in Thailand. The event’s objectives include presenting effective urban development strategies for low-income communities, enhancing Thailand’s role in advancing SDG 11, fostering international cooperation on housing issues, and strengthening networks across sectors for community and social development.
